The Truth Matters

But I suppose the most revolutionary act one can engage in is… to tell the truth”.

Howard Zinn

I have worked tirelessly to bring the Los Angeles Unified School District and the communities they serve together. I am Dedicated to making LAUSD accountable and oriented to making it possible for every student to succeed. LAUSD communities are entitled to that belief and leadership, that will make it happen!

I have Never engaged in racist behavior, and I condemn in the highest terms, any forms of demagoguery, oppression or terrorism toward Any people.

My 20 years of community and parent activism are driven by my belief that people should have the opportunity to learn from each other, civically engage the challenges we all face, correct misunderstandings, and have respectful and truthful conversations.

The post on “X” (Twitter), I “Liked” or shared, are centered on exercising my Constitutional First Amendment right, to appreciate current events and the Black Lifestyle. Due to the themes surrounding the book, “The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews”, written by the Nation of Islam, UTLA; United Teachers Los Angeles and other organizations I have worked alongside with for nearly 20 years, have rescinded their endorsements, to include canvassing and fundraising.

This Will Not Stop My Commitment to all of you that have worked so hard to have a voice working on the various Parent Committees, and Community Councils, for the cause of academic achievement, and for everyone that voted for me. I have introduced this information for your personal understanding, so that you have the facts of how this all transpired. When you stand in the voting booth and make your decision about who should lead Board District One, base it on my platform and work, not on misrepresentation of character and political deceit.

“Enlightenment doesn’t mean we were never wounded; it means we’ve found a way to evolve beyond our wounds. Enlightenment isn’t idealistic; it’s practical. What’s idealistic is thinking we can live from our wounds, stay in our weakness, and ever transform the world”.
